USS Enterprise CVN 65 Challenge Coins

Friday, July 20th, 2012

The USS Enterprise Officers Association requested to have a custom challenge coin designed.  Rather than the standard round or square shape, the coin that we created for the customer is in the shape of a boot.  The black side of the boot was designed to represent the ground crew.  The brown side of the boot represents the air crew.  There is even a 3d mold of the carrier along with an F-18.

This challenge coin in particular goes to show you just how creative a design can be.  In addition to the coin being cut-to-shape, it also represents two different crews by being a different color on each side.  The 3D image makes the F-18 stand out on the coin and in people’s memories.

Custom coins are great for commemorating groups as well as special events.  The custom message included on the coins can be written to reflect this.  We often create coins for special awards ceremonies, festivals, and celebrations.  Challenge coins are versatile enough to use in many different ways.  In fact, the custom coins you create can be handed out to individuals and groups for their efforts and good deeds.

Challenge coin presentation options help store and protect the award items from dust and damage.  You can learn more about the different types of items we offer by visiting  Every challenge coin ordered comes in PVC coin envelopes for free.  Velvet boxes and coin capsules cost extra.  For prices, visit our website.

Airport Challenge Coins

Tuesday, July 17th, 2012

Airports play a very vital role in keeping the country and the world connected. The people that run these airports take great pride in what they do and the responsibility they have in ensuring commuters and cargo get from one place to another. We’ve been seeing an increase in the amount of airports agencies that have been creating challenge coins that recognize the importance of their work.

The double sided coin has artwork on both the front and back of the memento.  The front of the coin has an image replicating a police officer’s badge.  The text include on the coins edge reads, “A Tradition of Dedicated Service,” as well as the different cities included in the area—Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena Airport Authority Police Department.  The back of the coin reads, “Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority Police.”  It also has images associated with airports and police departments.  This makes the custom challenge coins distinct and memorable.  People see the coins and know where they came from and what they were being used for.  This helps identify and recognize Airport Authority Police for the work they do.

Creating Custom Challenge Coins to Help Disaster Victims

Tuesday, July 17th, 2012

Disasters strike when they’re least expected.  Take the recent onslaught of wildfires plaguing Colorado.  Disaster relief efforts are needed to help communities rebuild.  One of the fastest and most successful ways to raise funds for families in your neighborhood and city is by creating custom lapel pins to sell to others.  Part or all of the proceeds can be used to help rebuild homes as well as provide medical care, clothing, and necessary services to families.

Custom challenge coins make the perfect fundraising item for a number of different reasons.  First and foremost, the coins are durable and long lasting.  They are not the type of item that gets easily destroyed and thrown away.

Next, custom coins are personal.  They have emblems, images, and messages incorporated in their designs.  This allows the purchaser of the coin to know where it came from and what was done to help others in need.  It also can provide the purchaser with additional contact information like an email address, phone number or website URL.

Last but not least, custom challenge coins are meaningful.  Since World War I, challenge coins have been used to honor exceptional individuals.  Imagine how grateful your customers will feel that they can be part of an age old tradition.  Custom challenge coins are highly regarded because of their close military ties.

Do your part to assist disaster victims in your community.  Visit today to request a no obligation, free price quote and full color digital proof. You can email your inquiry to or call 1-800-252-0904 toll-free.  We’ll honor your request and do our part to make sure your custom challenge coins are attractive and meaningful.
