Historically lapel pins have been used for trading at little league baseball tournaments. However, pins are limited to having a design on one side only. Many teams are beginning to use challenge coins instead.  The two sided pieces of memorabilia are a hit with players of all ages.  In addition to trading pins, other teams’ players can try to obtain as many custom baseball or softball challenge coins as possible.  This makes trading events at games and tournaments a success each and every season.

Custom challenge coins are great for capturing detail.  Because there are two sides to every coin, it’s very easy to include each player’s name and number on your 2012 custom baseball coins.  You can also opt for a 3D image of your mascot.  This is one surefire way to get other teams to take notice of what your players are trading.

Enhance your players’ experience this season by ordering custom challenge coins for your team.  They’ll love having them on hand to trade at games and tournaments.  In addition to having higher perceived value than other items, challenge coins are durable and long lasting.  They’re the type of keepsake that last for years and years.

Here are some ways to make your challenge coins stand out in a crowd:

  • Select a decorative edge.
  • Have the coins dual plated in gold and silver.
  • Include sequential numbering to add to the coins’ collectability.
  • Incorporate a bottle opening mechanism into your design.
  • Add a loop to the top of your coins so they can be worn or carried on a key ring.

Medics play a huge role in the support and care of the troops they work with. Members of the armed forces are faced with many out of the ordinary events that pose risks. The risk they face can be found both on the battle ground and in the everyday operations of their jobs, since most of their jobs involve being around heavy equipment and machinery. To help heal the wounded and cure the sick, medics are part of every brigade, troop and command. Challenge coins are a fantastic way to honor the brave work performed by these men and women.

The 7th Medical Support Squadron is an example of the medics we work with and help create their coins. As with all squadrons there is the main insignia that identifies each squadron. The front of the coin prominently displays the 7th Medical Support Squadrons insignia. The reverse side of the coin has a custom designed eagle and more supporting logos that further identify this group of men and women and their work. Both sides of the coin are finished off with a custom oblique edge that adds a brilliant shine to the border of the coins.

Custom challenge coins are perfect for awards ceremonies, banquets, and galas.  They can be presented in velvet boxes, velvet bags, and acrylic coin capsules which are designed to accentuate the coins and make them appear to be even more valuable than they already are.  It also gives recipients something to store and display their coins in.  This makes it easy for the medics to house their custom challenge coin award in their home or office where others can see them.
